Prosperity Preachers

Can someone tell me if prosperity preaching is for today. I find that some preachers go overboard just to get peoples MONEY! If someone can prove to me that prosperity preaching is for today I will reconsider my point of view. I am always willing to learn new truths!!!

God was the first prosperity preacher. He said to man in Genesis 1:28 Be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth. The Message Bible simply says: And God said to Man: PROSPER. Since then I cannot see anywhere in scripture where God Has rescinded this statement. It means that it is still leagally operational in God's kingdom. Read Deuteronomy 8 and you will see that it is God who gives us the power to get wealth. I say to anyone who does not accept prosperity preaching today to give back his or her salary at the end of the month and the pay rise at the end of the year. 3 John 2 states emphatically, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. That sounds pretty much like if God is in favour of prosperity and prosperity preaching, doesn't it? Now, not because a few people have acted unscrupulously should we stop proclaiming that the spirit and experience of prosperity be released among God's people. Will you stop driving beacuse a car runs off the road. Certainly Not! How come we do not stop putting money in the bank although personel in the bank are commiting fraud? Why then do we wish to completely eliminate a God-ordained principle beacause a few people messed up? It is a case of throwing out the baby with the bath water. The baby is the valuable while the bath water is the udesirable. It is important to know the difference. Furthermore, everyone has the power of choice. Exercise it by either turning off the Television, switching channel or by simply not sending your money. No one can make you give money to any preacher. May I tell you, though, that for every corrupt preacher there are at least ten that are doing it right. It will help a lot if you search for them and observe how they operate. In fact it will do you well to sow into their ministry. I assure you that the harvest will be great. Check out Psalms 102:13; Psalm 35:27; Leviticus 26:1-13 and 2 Corinthians 9.
